The highlight of the draft bill

In India many people being trafficked China patch cable factory for forced labour, domestic work and even begging. Chennai: A new bill being drafted in India aims to curb the steep rise in human trafficking by unifying several existing laws, raising the penalties for offenders and providing for victims' rehabilitation, government officials said on Wednesday."An inter-ministerial committee will examine the draft bill when it is completed and send it to parliament, which is expected to pass it into law later this year, officials said."The new legislation hopes to fix these numbers," Nair said."As well as creating an all-embracing law against trafficking, the bill will propose increasing the penalty for offenders to up to 15 years' jail from the present four to five years, and will provide protection for both victims and witnesses, the official said. The new legislation will have a more holistic approach and plug the lacunae in the implementation of anti-trafficking drives. Under the new legislation, there will be an emphasis on ensuring better justice for victims.."All these cases are dealt with by various agencies and under numerous different laws," she said.In addition, a separate court will be established to handle serious crimes committed across more than one Indian state, she said.

The highlight of the draft bill is that it gives victims a legal right to rehabilitation, making the state more accountable in doing so."According to National Crime Record Bureau data, 5,466 cases of trafficking were reported in 2014, an increase of 60 percent since 2010."Human trafficking in India has taken on many forms, with people being trafficked for forced labour, domestic work and even begging," a senior Women and Child Development Ministry official working on the draft bill told the Thomson Reuters Foundation."The Supreme Court of India felt that all cases, national or international, should come under the purview of one single law.The bill calls for the creation of an organized crime investigation agency, a special court to deal with trafficking cases and severe penalties for repeat offenders and the trafficking of minors, they said."This is a big step forward," Dr P M Nair, a member of the expert committee set up to draft the bill, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation in a telephone interview."Since 2000, many of us working to prevent human trafficking have been pushing for comprehensive legislation. "At present investigators, judicial officers and public prosecutors lack training in handling these sensitive cases. At present, human trafficking cases are dealt with largely under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, though some also come under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, or sections of the Indian Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, labour laws and overseas affairs, the official said.

Picture viewings in different lighting conditions

However, this is very indebted to its software particularly a battery managing and otherwise, ‘Phone manager’ application. Picture viewings in different lighting conditions as well as angles varied as conditions varied but were not complementary. During movie streaming, there were contrast and sharpness variations which were displeasing to the eye.The back has a fingerprint sensor too, for security purposes and then very close to it is the rear panel for a quad-camera set up with 4 LED flashlights as well. A 32MP shooter, in a punch hole setting, it is supported by a beauty, AR shot, wide selfie and even an excellent portrait mode. So, never mind the concessions. If these should be your parameters, then by all means go and splurge on this phone as it beats the competitors by a considerable margin.Although, as we’d previously mentioned, the camera compromises on a flash for the punch-hole display, low light selfies on this were still in crisp detail.

The Cheetah User Interface has included a phone manager app, which lets you manage your phones’ RAM, battery, storage and even more in one place. So, we reviewed the Infinix S5 and here’s what we’ve thought about it.6-inches and has a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. They also have a separate game mode for boosting RAM usage and decreasing disturbances, while at it. There’s also a ‘separate app called ‘Carl Care’ app for addressing repair or technical problems with the phone in case you often handle handsets with butterfingers. Thus, despite being in vogue with a glossy, reflective phone back panel as is the trend right now, the patterns ensued that the notorious fingerprint smudges didn’t ever look like an eyesore, prominently flashing themselves for you to catch them with your eye. The Transsion group, that leads Infinix with other sister brands, promoted the phone as a first in its price range to wield a pinhole camera. Last but not least, was a problem with the keyboard, specifically China headphone plug factory Infinix’s custom Kika Keyboard I had to use. Otherwise, on Antutu the score showed to be 91802. Last shortcoming, low light photographs on the phone were poor however we’re not complaining as the phone provides very well for a device at this price. It also became one of the cheapest phones to have a pinhole (technically known as punch hole camera) with 32 MP resolution. At the back, a quad-camera configuration with a 16 MP primary camera, 2MP telephoto, 2MP depth sensor and then a macro lens lets you play around with as many depths and effects you’d like.BatteryThe battery life on this phone is pretty good, considering that it is powered by a 4000mAh lithium-ion cell.Build, design and displayThe Infinix S5 is sturdily and almost stylishly built. It is potentially a very easy to use UI, with gestures, different usage modes, scheduled power-offs and the like. When we ran the benchmark tests on Geekbench 5, it calculated its single-core score to be 153 and the multi-core score to be 787. But otherwise, in terms of colour reproduction, it was fine.If the rear camera exceeded our expectations, the front camera had blown our minds. So we would recommend Infinix to work on that. When we tried it, while it didn’t really seem to boost performance there were definitely storage and battery efficiencies that it did improve. Unfortunately, the phone does not provide a pro mode. Not only this there is also fast charging support through the app, letting it recharge in under 2 hours from 0 to full capacity and also reminding, you in case the hours lapse and you have forgotten to disconnect its charging cable. However, there still were some let downs.Software and performanceThe phone runs on Infinix’s custom XOS 5 Cheetah skin, on top of Android 9 Pie out of the box. But otherwise, there’s so much more that an average user could take complete advantage of.We did, however, find a lack of ambient sensors though. While leaving you with a more immersive display, the phone’s pinhole camera sacrifices selfies in dim light with the lack of a flashlight.

VerdictPriced at Rs 8,999 the Infinix S5 does well when standing on its own; however, compared to others at Rs 9,000 such as the Redmi 8 the phone falls quite short on its processor and battery capabilities. But, reasons to buy this phone remain, it beats every other competitor on its display and camera hardware. Something Infinix gloated over well and thoroughly during promotions. The rest of the body wields a speaker grille, a Micro USB port and a 3.Rating: The Infinix S5 was launched early last month in India, with glowing specifications promising ‘an ideal combination of innovation and affordability’.At the front, the phone extends a good, long 6. The Cyan and Black coloured body, the one we received, has a gradient, patterned rear. However, in case you’re looking at long hours of travel and need some basic energy conservation for your smartphone you can even choose to do so, on a scale from 1 to 100 per cent of optimization. Which is good, as the phone has a pinhole front camera, becoming a first for an under 10K smartphone. But Infinix also made a lot of statements on the phone’s ‘premium-body feel’, ‘high-quality visual treat’ and ‘crystal clear photographs even in low lighting conditions’.The phone does not have the ability to close all background apps together by a single button.

This gave the phone a host of features, but with a slightly cluttered looking UI especially on the main menu when set to its default as well as the smartphones’ notification bar. So, there’s additional support for a bokeh, beauty and an AR filer mode, but of course, these are apart from and in addition to features that let you click wide-angle photos, macro shots, and panorama. Instead at the point where most ‘close all’ or such tabs are, you can tap to optimize your RAM usage..5mm headphone jack at the bottom, power and a volume button on the right-hand side and a SIM tray on the left. The phone, however, is not built for heavy functions. Typing on it often got tiresome, with the keys placed too close together and auto-correct suggestions being quite off the mark. It could run almost two days with its regular functions and even an occasional hotspot usage.CameraThe phone’s exceeded our expectations for a budget smartphone. The display of the phone, by resolution, was 720 x 1600 and in reality, was quite good. But, more on that later.

This shows that they are still keeping things

Later on, in 2017, Apple announced three models — the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. While Apple sales are growing in the wearables and service business, the Cupertino brand desperately needs its iPhones to sell well in order to continue being considered as a top smartphone brand. There aren’t many leaks surrounding this handset and a betting man would not put out for it to launch this year..If Apple indeed launches this smartphone and this year at that, it will revive a market that’s stagnating and desperately in need of some fresh blood. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 launch has just taken place and the world is enthralled with whatever it has on offer.Apple’s iPhone sales have not been up to expectations and have fallen at a time where usually they would find growth. However, it can be pointed out that when Apple launched the iPhone XS models, they were essentially the same smartphone with two different sizes. This shows that they are still keeping things simple even though they have launched three new iPhones. However, Samsung shouldn’t really worry about it, right? Since smartphones came into being from the early days of the iPhone, Samsung has always been the Cupertino based brand’s primary and most fierce rival. Pairing it with smart keyboard covers, super-fast charging capabilities, as well as a powerful chipset, are all attributes needed in a formula for it to receive astounding success. The iPhone 11 Pro has certainly got tongues wagging with questions such as what does it look like? What can it do?

How come it suddenly exists? And most importantly, should I put off the Galaxy Note 10 for it?For Samsung, these are the questions it doesn’t want potential consumers asking. While this could be just a rebranding of the ‘Max’ naming on the larger of the two OLED smartphones, it could also point out certain features that could be associated with a whole new device; something that hasn’t been leaked before.Let’s start by recalling that in 2016, an iPhone 7 prototype surfaced which came with a 3-pin dock connector at the bottom which is the same used on the iPad. So, why should a moniker like ‘Pro’ tilt the balance in favour for Apple and that too since the Galaxy Note 10 is a pretty formidable device?Going to the basics — the iPhone 11 Pro has recently popped up in a tweet by a mysterious tipster named CoinX.And this is where the iPhone 11 Pro comes in — a smartphone that costs more as well as offering something extraordinary. However, this all has changed and now, Samsung has something to fear as rumours about an Apple iPhone 11 Pro has started to surface which could potentially put an end to Note 10’s dominance. With this being said, Apple has always liked to keep things simple with its lineups and have offered a single device that spread across two variants in 2014. However, it’s worth mentioning that this tipster has a reputable track record and in the past accurately predicted the names for the iPhone XS, XS Max and the iPhone XR. Also, CoinX had accurately stated that the iPads would lose the headphone jack; which adds some credibility to his leaks.

If you had to ask us a week ago, we would have said that Samsung would absolutely destroy Apple’s upcoming iPhones as all it is expected to be a re-jigged iPhone XS in a marginally new body. This iPhone Pro could come with some enticing features such as 5G connectivity, a larger display without any notch or even for that matter the much talked about the foldable phone from Apple. While it’s rightfully Samsung’s time to shine, they should be looking over their shoulder as an old foe is gunning stereo adapters for them in the form of the Apple iPhone Pro. So, our points will be mostly based on speculation than actual facts. However, the prospect of an iPhone Pro in 2020 seems more realistic. There are plenty of reasons to claim that Apple could be preparing an iPhone 11 Pro. This is part of Apple’s scheme in pushing the price of the iPhone up and they were the first mainstream brand to offer a smartphone that crossed the Rs 1 lakh mark. There is a good reason for it as well as since the Note 10 launch the Apple iPhone 11 Pro has been a mainstay in headlines the world over. Apple did this to raise margins to offset its sales drop. This connector can be used to connect to a smart keyboard and this proves that Apple has an eye out for its power user clientele. The only issue with the iPhone 11 Pro is that it has come at a time that’s a bit too late.
